“God please take this gift away! I don’t want to see the invisible anymore!”

While it is clearly sarcastic, “seeing the invisible,” is at the heart of being Missional. What we fail to realize, is that those who are invisible are not so because they have some inherent trait of invisibility or because they have some super hidden power to make them such, but because we in our lack of availability simply do not see them. They don’t have the power, we do.

If you immerse yourself into any community, you will soon discover that the census bureau is wrong and that there are a lot more people than you think. Don’t pray to ignore, pray to “open the eyes of my heart Lord.”

Becoming an expert in the field of Ministry often come with an adoption of a Theology. The better we know our theology, the more we are sought for answers. The more answers we have, the more popular we become. Soon we leave ministry all together and become teachers. In that teaching, sometimes losing sight of the purpose of it all, bringing Christ to the people. You all know the old adage “Those who can’t do, teach.

@pastorbryan is right, we can become so wrapped up in our outdated and technical explanations or we can “consider the ant” of our daily lives and seek ways to share both the message of Christ, and Christ the message-giver” with what we encounter on a daily basis, what we discover about God within our sphere of influence, what we experience as we go about our lives.

Words have ripples. Being Missional is not just learning the new lingo like “incarnational,” but actually being incarnational. If our actions can be both incarnational and missional, then so can our words. When a word is spoken that transforms, We are missional with our mouth instead of just our feet.

May God grant me the mercy to speak words that are apples of gold in settings of silver.

Best Missional Quote of the Day. Also, I want to make it clear that this represents only those that are following me and in some cases those that I am following.

The key phrase in this quote which makes it a winner is “design for discipleship.” We evangelicals are always talking about intelligent design, but rarely give thought to the non-material/spiritual aspects of design. He is right, we simply can not sit tight and wait for him, but must occupy our time by being Him to those who need. We can focus all of our time on theory without ever actually testing it out. Wins the best Missional Quote of the day. Many have been so programed to parrot particular phrases in a canned attempted at sharing the Gospel. The truth is that God may not have a wonderful plan for their life according to human standards. It is easy to tell them they will have a wonderful life if we are not constantly there laying our lives down for them. If we walk away and not form an ongoing relationship, then we have the pleasure of assuming that all is hunky dory. Sticking around when things aren’t so wonderful and ministering to them is being missional.
